You frequently have to go to the toilet, can hardly urinate or have pain and a burning sensation when urinating.
What you can do: Drink kidney or bladder teas, you may also use anti-inflammatory pain killers (available at your pharmacy without a prescription). In acute cases and also prophylactically, you could drink lingonberry (or mountain cranberry) juice.
When you must see a doctor: If you have blood in your urine, a fever (temperature above 38 degrees Celsius) or pain in the kidney area.
Pregnant or diabetic women should see a doctor in any case. A bladder infection in these patients must always be treated with antibiotics.
